About shmemko.
shmemko began quietly—at home, with a needle, thread, and my love for simple, meaningful things.
I’ve always been drawn to embroidery. There is something meditative in the slow rhythm of stitching, something grounding in creating with my hands. What started as a personal passion slowly found its place in my everyday life. Instead of keeping embroidery as decoration, I began placing it onto objects meant to be used, carried, and lived with—bags, backpacks, and small accessories that become part of daily rituals.
I create each piece from natural, biodegradable materials like linen and cotton—fabrics I choose not only for their beauty, but for what they represent. For me, it’s a conscious decision. A quieter way of creating. A step toward living with less waste and more intention.
Every leaf, every stitch, is made slowly, at home. No rush, no mass production—just a process shaped by patience and care.
shmemko is more than a brand. It’s my way of living—close to nature, rooted in simplicity, and guided by the belief that everyday objects can be both practical and meaningful.
Something to carry with you, gently.
